(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Verdell Jones III scored a career-high 24 points as the Indiana Hoosiers beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 81-78 in overtime.
Jones hit the go-ahead basket with 32.8 seconds remaining and Christian Watford added a pair of free throws in the final seconds as Indiana halted a three-game losing streak.
Watford finished with 16 points and ten rebounds with Devan Dumes adding 13 points for the Hoosiers.
Devoe Joseph scored 19 points to lead Minnesota with Ralph Sampson III finishing with 17 points as the Gophers fall to 12-6, 3-3 in the Big Ten.
The Hoosiers improve to 8-9, 2-3 in the conference as they hit the road to take on Penn State Thursday night.
