(EVANSVILLE, IN) - The Evansville Purple Aces have a bright spot in what has been a dismal season as they pulled off a 55-54 upset of 22nd-ranked Northern Iowa at Roberts Stadium.
James Haarsma led a balanced Evansville attack with twelve points with Kavon Lacey adding eleven points and Colt Ryan finishing with ten as the Aces won for just the second time in seventeen Missouri Valley Conference games this season.
The Koch brothers led UNI with freshman Jake scoring 22 points and grabbing ten rebounds while senior Adam added 14 points as the Panthers fall to 24-4, 14-3 in the MVC.
Evansville improves to 8-20 overall, 2-15 in the conference.
They wrap up the regular season Saturday afternoon on the road at Drake.
