(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) - Qualifying for Sunday’S Daytona 500 continues this afternoon with the twin 150-mile “Duels”.
It will be an all-Hendrick Motorsports front row as Mark Martin claimed the pole on Saturday with teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr starting on the outside.
It is Martin's first Daytona 500 pole and at age 51 he is the oldest pole-winner in race history.
The remaining 41 starting positions will be determined this afternoon with the top 35 cars in owners points from last season guaranteed berths in the field.
