(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly terminated the contract of veteran offensive lineman Ryan Lilja.
There has been no official word from the team, but Lilja's agent, Craig Domann, tells the Indianapolis Star that Lilja was let go as the team tries to get bigger along the front line.
Lilja is six-foot-two, 290 pounds and started all 19 games for the Horseshoes last season after missing the entire 2008 season with knee issues.
The desire to get larger players on the offensive line could represent a change in philosophy after the retirement of long-time offensive line coach Howard Mudd following last month's loss to the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl 44.
