(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The Evansville Purple Aces saw their season come to an end as they lost to Missouri State 52-46 in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
The Bears won despite shooting just 33 percent from the field as they held Evansville to 32-percent shooting.
Kyle Weems led Missouri State with twelve points and eleven rebounds with Will Creekmore adding nine as the Bears improve to 20-11.
Denver Holmes was the lone Evansville player to reach double figures, finishing with a game-high 13 points as the Aces end their season with a 9-21 mark.
