(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The Indiana State Sycamores open play in the College Basketball Invitational this evening as they take on the Saint Louis Billikens in St. Louis.
The Sycamores are 17-14 and are coming off a 69-65 loss to Illinois State in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
The Billikens are 20-11.
They finished fifth in the Atlantic Ten during the regular season and were eliminated by Rhode Island 63-47 in the quarterfinals of the A-Ten tournament last Friday.
Tonight's game marks the first appearance for Indiana State in a postseason tournament since the Sycamores reached the NCAA Tournament in 2001.
