(ATLANTA, GA) - Chipper Jones hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth as the Atlanta Braves edged the Chicago Cubs 3-2.
Atlanta drew first blood in the second when rookie Jason Heyward drilled an RBI double down the right field line off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster.
Chicago took the lead in the fifth when Troy Glaus could not handle a grounder from Dempster allowing Alfonso Soriano to score and Ryan Theriot followed with a sacrifice fly.
John Grabow came in to pitch for the Cubs in the eighth and gave up a one-out double to Martin Prado before Jones followed with the game-winner.
The Braves go for the three-game series sweep this evening.
