(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago Cubs used the long ball to power their way past the Milwaukee Brewers 9-5 in the home opener at Wrigley Field.
Xavier Nady hit a three-run home run in his first game at Wrigley in a Cubs uniform.
Jeff Baker and Aramis Ramirez added two-run shots as Chicago built an 8-1 lead.
Ryan Braun hit a three-run homer and drove in four to pace the Milwaukee offense.
Ryan Dempster pitched into the seventh inning and picked up the win for the Cubs while Doug Davis took the loss for the Brewers.
