(ATLANTA, GA) - The Chicago Cubs open the 2010 baseball season on the road as they face the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.
The Cubs are coming off a disappointing 2009 in which they finished second in the NL Central, seven and-a-half games behind St. Louis.
The Braves are coming off a third-place season in the NL East as they finished seven games behind Philadelphia last year.
This will be the 29th and final season for Atlanta Manager Bobby Cox, who will retire at the end of the year.
Cox will send Derek Lowe to the mound this afternoon with Carlos Zambrano going for Chicago.
