(DETROIT, MI) - Carlos Guillen capped Detroit’s three-run bottom of the ninth by scoring on a wild pitch by Cleveland’s Chris Perez as the Tigers edged the Indians 9-8 at Comerica Park.
Guillen had driven in the first run in the ninth with an RBI double as the Tigers won their fourth game in a row and completed a three-game series sweep.
Luis Valbuena hit a grand slam, Jhonny Peralta hammered a two-run homer and Shin-Soo Choo added a solo blast in a losing effort for the Indians, who are off to a 2-4 start.
