(ARLINGTON, TX) - Paul Konerko homered twice and drove in four runs as the Chicago White Sox avoided a three-game sweep in Texas, beating the Rangers 7-5.
Konerko hit a solo shot in the eighth and a two-run blast in the ninth, giving him the Major League lead with ten home runs this season.
Gavin Floyd picked up his first win of the year, allowing one earned run on five hits in seven innings of work to improve to 1-2.
Rangers rookie first baseman Justin Smoak hit his first career home run, a solo shot off Floyd in the fourth.
Smoak finished with two runs batted in.
