(CHICAGO, IL) - Matt LaPorta’s RBI double in the seventh gave Cleveland the lead for good as the Indians came from behind to defeat the Chicago White Sox 5-3.
Paul Konerko gave the Sox an early 3-0 lead with a sacrifice fly in the first and a two-run homer off Fausto Carmona in the third.
Cleveland tied the game in the fourth on an RBI single from Michael Brantley and a two-run base hit by Grady Sizemore.
Shin-Soo Choo led off the seventh with a single and was on second base two outs later when LaPorta gave the Indians the lead with his double off Tony Pena.
The White Sox and Indians face off tonight in the rubber game of the three-game series.
