(NEW YORK, NY) - Mike Pelfrey and three relievers combined on a three-hit shutout as the New York Mets blanked the Chicago Cubs 4-0.
Jose Reyes put New York on the board in the second inning when he hit a two-run triple off Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano.
Fernando Tatis would give the Mets some insurance in the eighth with a two-run homer off reliever John Grabow.
Pelfrey pitched seven innings, giving up all three of Chicago's hits as he improves to 3-0.
Zambrano allowed two runs on six hits while striking out nine in six innings of work to take the loss, falling to 1-2.
The Cubs have lost four games in a row.
