(UNDATED) - Both the Izod Indycar Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are off this weekend.
The Indycar Series will race again next Sunday with the inaugural Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham.
Team Penske's Will Power has won the first two races of the season at Brazil and last Monday at St. Petersburg. NASCAR's top series is taking its traditional Easter holiday.
The Sprint Cup Series races again next Saturday night at Phoenix International Raceway.
Their race in Martinsville, Virginia scheduled for last Sunday was postponed to Monday due to rain.
Denny Hamlin, who was scheduled to undergo knee surgery on Monday, won the race and postponed the operation to repair a torn ACL in his left knee until Wednesday.
Hamlin has said that he will at least start next week's race at Phoenix and will have a substitute driver Casey Mears standing by.
