(CHICAGO, IL) - Pinch-hitter Andruw Jones drove home the go-ahead run with an RBI single in the eighth as the Chicago White Sox snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Twins.
Paul Konerko hit a two-run homer with Mark Kotsay and Gordon Beckham adding solo shots.
Mark Buehrle pitched eight innings to get the win for Chicago, improving to 2-0.
Minnesota had a chance to tie the game in the ninth, but JJ Hardy was thrown out at the plate trying to score on Jim Thome's double to the gap in left centerfield as the Twins saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
