(PHOENIX, AZ) - The Arizona Diamondbacks snapped a five-game skid with a 9-7 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Dan Haren had an off-night on the mound for Arizona, but tied a franchise record with four hits.
Haren picked up the win despite allowing seven earned runs on nine hits over six innings to improve to 2-1.
Mark Reynolds put the D-backs up for good with a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth.
Ryan Ludwick hit a pair of homers and drove in three for the Cardinals with Albert Pujols adding a solo shot, his sixth of the season.
Kyle Lohse started for the Redbirds but did not figure in the decision despite giving up seven earned runs in three innings of work.
Mitchell Boggs took the loss in relief.
