(ANAHEIM, CA) - Erick Aybar and Bobby Abreu homered to back up a strong pitching effort from Jered Weaver as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Cleveland Indians 5-2.
Aybar put the Angels on the board with a solo shot off Indians starter David Huff in the first inning.
Los Angeles scored twice more in the first and Abreu ended the Angels' scoring with a two-run shot in the sixth off Huff.
Weaver allowed a run on seven hits in six innings of work to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Jhonny Peralta had an RBI single and Austin Kearns hit a solo homer, his first in a Cleveland uniform.
Huff took the loss for the Indians to fall to 1-3.
