After Hard Crash Viso Cleared To Return To Track

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Driver EJ Viso was cleared to drive on Wednesday.

Viso spun in turn one late during Tuesday's practice session with his car backing hard into the safer barrier between turns one and two.

He was removed from his car on a stretcher and taken to Methodist Hospital in downtown Indianapolis complaining of back pain.

Viso was released from the hospital Tuesday night.

Viso said that he expected to have his backup car ready to go late Wednesday, but he was the only one of the 36 drivers who did not turn a lap.
