(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Bud Norris allowed one run over eight innings as the Houston Astros completed a three-game series sweep of St. Louis, defeating the Cardinals 4-1 at Busch Stadium.
Houston scored all four of its runs in the third inning with Lance Berkman driving in a run with an RBI single and Hunter Pence capping the frame with a three-run homer off St. Louis starter Chris Carpenter.
The Cardinals' lone run came on a Matt Holliday RBI single in the seventh.
Norris allowed six hits, walked none and struck out eight to improve to 2-4.
Carpenter gave up four runs on six hits over eight innings to suffer his first loss, falling to 4-1.
The Cardinals' lead in the NL Central is down to a half-game over second place Cincinnati.
The Redbirds are in Cincinnati to face the Reds this weekend.
