(CINCINNATI, OH) - Rod Barajas spoiled a Cincinnati comeback, hitting a solo home run in the top of the ninth to give the New York Mets a 5-4 win over the Reds.
The Mets scored two runs in the top of the sixth to take a 4-2 lead.
They held the lead until the bottom of the eighth when Joey Votto and Scott Rolen hit back-to-back solo homers off Fernando Nieve to tie the game at four.
That set up Barajas' two-out game-winner off Reds closer Francisco Cordero as New York snapped a three-game losing streak.
