(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - Roy Halladay picked up his sixth win of the season as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-2.
Halladay allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out nine to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Jayson Werth gave Halladay all the support he would need with a three-run homer in the first off St. Louis starter Kyle Lohse.
Raul Ibanez would add a solo shot and Ryan Howard drove in two runs as the Phillies took the final three games in the four-game series.
Albert Pujols hit an RBI single for the Cardinals.
Lohse allowed five runs on nine hits over four innings to fall to 0-2.
