(PITTSBURGH, PA) - Ryan Church hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to give the Pittsburgh Pirates a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.
Andy LaRoche gave Pittsburgh the early lead with a solo homer off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster in the first.
Alfonso Soriano tied the game with a solo shot in the fourth and Geovany Soto gave Chicago the lead with another solo blast off Pirates starter Paul Maholm in the sixth.
That set up Church's game-winner off Dempster in the bottom half of the inning.
Maholm picked up the win to even his record at 2-2 while Dempster took the loss to fall to 2-2.
