(ATLANTA, GA) - Rookie Jason Heyward hit a double down the right field line with two out in the bottom of the ninth to drive home Martin Prado with the winning run as the Atlanta Braves edged the Cincinnati Reds 5-4.
Atlanta jumped out to a 4-0 lead on a two-run home run by Brian McCann and a pair of RBI hits from Chipper Jones.
Braves starter Kenshin Kawakami threw six shutout innings with Cincinnati doing all of its damage against the Atlanta bullpen.
Scott Rolen had a two-run double in the eighth and scored on Drew Stubbs' single to pull the Reds to within a run at 4-3.
Chris Heisey tied the game in the ninth when he drilled a solo shot off Braves closer Billy Wagner.
That set up Heyward's game-winner off Reds reliever Nick Masset that halted Cincinnati's four-game winning streak.
