(PITTSBURGH, PA) - One day after Johnny Cueto threw a one-hitter, Homer Bailey pitched a four-hit shutout as the Cincinnati Reds blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-0, completing a three-game series sweep.
Joey Votto got the Reds off on the right foot, hitting a two-run homer off Zach Duke in the top of the first.
Cincinnati would get two more runs off Duke in the second on a Ryan Hanigan RBI double and Orlando Cabrera's run-scoring single.
Drew Stubbs capped the scoring with a solo shot off Duke in the fourth.
Bailey needed just 90 pitches to complete his first win of the season, walking none while striking out six as the Reds won their fifth-straight game.
The Pirates have lost four in a row.
