(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Silva improved to 4-0 as the Chicago Cubs got a much-needed 4-3 win over the Florida Marlins, halting a four-game losing streak.
Silva pitched into the seventh, allowing two runs on seven hits to remain perfect on the season.
Mike Fontenot put Chicago on the board with a two-run double in the second.
The Cubs would score twice more in the fifth when Marlon Byrd doubled home Kosuke Fukudome and Starlin Castro scored on a wild pitch by Marlins starter Chris Volstad.
Ronnie Paulino had a two-run double for Florida.
