(CHICAGO, IL) - Alfonso Soriano hit a pair of two-run homers and Marlon Byrd added a two-run blast of his own as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-5.
Tom Gorzelanny picked up his first win of the season, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out ten over seven innings to improve to 1-3.
Rusty Ryal hit a two-run home run for Arizona with Stephen Drew adding a two-run triple in the ninth.
The Cubs won the final three games of the series after dropping the opener on Thursday night to get back to .500 and move ahead of Cincinnati into second place in the NL Central, four and-a-half games behind the first-place Cardinals.
