(CHICAGO, IL) - Albert Pujols hit three home runs as the St. Louis Cardinals pounded the Chicago Cubs 9-1.
Pujols finished with four runs batted in while David Freese drove in three, two coming on his fourth homer of the year.
Adam Wainwright went seven innings, allowing a run on seven hits to improve to 7-3.
Geovany Soto accounted for Chicago's offense, hitting a solo homer.
Ryan Dempster took the loss for the Cubs to drop to 3-5.
