(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Denard Span drove home the game-winning run with an RBI single in the fourth as the Minnesota Twins edged the Chicago White Sox 3-2.
The Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first when Juan Pierre stole third and scored on catcher Joe Mauer's throwing error.
Paul Konerko followed with an RBI single.
Minnesota tied the game in the third on an RBI groundout from Mauer and a run-scoring single by Justin Morneau.
Carl Pavano would make it hold up, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings to improve to 4-3.
John Danks allowed all three Twins runs and took the loss, falling to 3-2.
