(BALTIMORE, MD) - Jake Westbrook fell one out shy of picking up a shutout, but he did pitch a complete game in the Cleveland Indians’ 5-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Westbrook allowed a run on nine hits and struck out eight to even his record at 2-2.
Grady Sizemore gave the Indians the early lead with an RBI single in the third.
Matt Laporta hit a two-run homer in the fifth and Russell Branyan added a two-run blast in the ninth as the Indians took two of three in the series.
Luke Scott accounted for Baltimore's lone run with a solo shot off Westbrook with two out in the bottom of the ninth.
