(DETROIT, MI) - Juan Pierre put Chicago up for good with a two-run double in the fourth inning as the White Sox went on to a 6-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Paul Konerko and Omar Vizquel had RBI singles and Carlos Quentin gave the Sox some insurance with a two-run double in the eighth as Chicago wins the lone game in the series after last night's opener was rained out.
Freddy Garcia allowed two runs on six hits over six innings to get the win, improving to 3-2.
Johnny Damon hit a solo home run for the Tigers.
