(NEW YORK, NY) - Alex Rodriguez hit a grand slam and drove in six runs as the New York Yankees pounded the Cleveland Indians 11-2.
Robinson Cano followed A-Rod's slam with a solo shot off reliever Chris Perez as the Yankees scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh to blow the game open.
Andy Pettitte was the beneficiary of the offense.
Pettitte allowed a run on four hits over seven innings to improve to 7-and-1.
Jhonny Peralta hit a solo homer off Pettitte in the second while Cleveland starter Mitch Talbot took the loss to fall to 6-4.
