(SEATTLE, WA) - It took 13 innings, but the Chicago Cubs finally salvaged a win in Seattle.
Marlon Byrd hit an RBI single to score Alfonso Soriano with the winning run in the 13th as the Cubs edged the Mariners 3-2.
Mike Fontenot had a sacrifice fly and Chad Tracy added an RBI single for the Cubs.
Mike Sweeney and Jack Wilson hit RBI doubles for the Mariners, who had their six-game winning streak snapped.
