(WASHINGTON, DC) - Drew Stubbs’ RBI single with two out in the top of the tenth gave the Cincinnati Reds a 5-4 win over the Washington Nationals in extra innings.
The Reds entered the top of the ninth down 2-1 when Jonny Gomes hit an RBI double and Scott Rolen followed with a two-run homer off Washington closer Matt Capps.
The Nationals would force extra innings when pinch hitter Mike Morse hit a two-run double off Reds closer Francisco Cordero.
The Reds took two of three in the series.
