(LOS ANGELES, CA) - The St. Louis Cardinals could not take advantage of Cincinnati’s loss as they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 12-4.
Blake Dewitt hit his first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the fifth, and drove in a career-high five runs.
Rafael Furcal added a two-run double as the Dodgers scored six earned runs off both of St. Louis' pitchers for the evening, starter Blake Hawksworth and rookie PJ Walters.
Ryan Ludwick hit a pair of solo homers and Felipe Lopez had a two-run double as the Cardinals remain tied with the Reds for first place in the National League Central.
