(CINCINNATI, OH) - Juan Uribe’s second two-run single of the game put San Francisco ahead to stay as the Giants edged the Cincinnati Reds 6-5.
San Francisco starter Barry Zito gave the Giants the early lead with a two-run single off Johnny Cueto in the second.
Uribe's first two-run single of the game gave San Francisco a 4-1 lead in the third before the Reds scored twice in the fourth, the final run coming on Jay Bruce's eighth home run of the season.
Pinch hitter Miguel Cairo ended Zito's night with a two-run single in the sixth that gave Cincinnati a 5-4 advantage.
That set up Uribe's game-winner off Reds reliever Daniel Ray Herrera.
