ST. LOUIS, MO) - Corey Hart’s sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning gave the Milwaukee Brewers a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Brewers scored a pair of runs in the first and took a 3-0 lead when Rickie Weeks hit a solo homer off St. Louis starter Jaime Garcia in the top of the third.
The Cardinals chipped away with Colby Rasmus hitting a solo homer in the bottom of the third and Albert Pujols leading off the bottom of the sixth with a solo shot of Milwaukee starter Manny Parra.
The Redbirds tied the game on a Randy Winn sacrifice fly in the eighth.
With the win, the Brewers snap a three-game losing streak and avoid being swept in the series.
The Cardinals drop into a first-place tie with Cincinnati atop the NL Central standings.
