(UNDATED) - The first domino in the restructuring of major college sports conferences could fall on Friday.
Several media outlets are reporting that Nebraska will join the Big Ten, which could ultimately lead to the demise of the Big Twelve Conference.
The Big Ten is also rumored to be looking at plucking Missouri from the Big Twelve with other Big Twelve schools, including football powers Texas and Oklahoma, are reportedly considering joining the Pac-Ten.
The Big Ten announced last winter that the conference was exploring expanding from its current eleven schools.
Notre Dame is believed to be the conference's main target and several Big East schools have been reported to be under consideration to join the Big Ten.
