(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Quentin hit a go-ahead, two-run home run in the seventh as the Chicago White Sox avoided being swept at home by Texas with a 4-3 victory over the Rangers.
Andrew Jones homered in the second to give the sox a 1-0 lead.
Texas scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and six innings before Alex Rios drew Chicago to within a run with a solo shot of Texas starter Colby Lewis in the sixth.
Lewis was still on the mound when Quentin hit his eventual game-winner the following inning.
Freddy Garcia went seven innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits to improve to 5-3.
Lewis falls to 4-4.
