(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Manny Ramirez hit a two-run homer and Blake DeWitt added a two-run single as the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three game series sweep of St. Louis, defeating the Cardinals 4-3.
Ryan Ludwick accounted for the Cardinals' offense, hitting a three-run homer off LA starter Clayton Kershaw in the fourth inning.
The Redbirds had some bad luck in the ninth when Albert Pujols led off the inning with a single off Dodgers reliever Jonathan Broxton.
Broxton got Matt Holliday and Ludwick to fly out before Yadier Molina hit a drive into right field that bounced into the stands for a ground-rule double, forcing Pujols to stop at third base.
Broxton ended the game by getting Randy Winn to ground out. St. Louis has lost four games in a row and falls one game behind first-place Cincinnati in the NL Central.
