(CHICAGO, IL) - The Detroit Tigers erupted for six runs in the top of the seventh to cruise past the Chicago White Sox 7-2.
The Sox took a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a two-run homer by Mark Kotsay off Armando Galarraga.
After Carlos Guillen got the Tigers to within a run with an RBI single in the sixth, Ryan Raburn gave Detroit the lead for good when he hit an RBI double in the seventh with a second run scoring on a throwing error by Gordon Beckham.
Brennan Boesch added a three-run homer and Guillen followed with a solo blast to cap the big inning.
Neither Galarraga nor Chicago starter Gavin Floyd figured in the decision.
