(CLEVELAND, OH) - Tim Wakefield pitched into the eighth inning, allowing four hits and one earned run as the Boston Red Sox got past the Cleveland Indians 3-2.
The 43-year-old knuckleballer became the Red Sox all-time leader in innings pitched while improving to 2-4 on the season.
Boston did all of its damage off Cleveland starter David Huff with two out in the fourth inning.
Kevin Youkilis hit an RBI double and scored on an infield single by David Ortiz.
Ortiz would score on Bill Hall's RBI double.
Shelley Duncan hit a solo homer off Wakefield in the seventh to conclude the scoring.
Huff falls to 2-7 with the loss.
