(PITTSBURGH, PA) - Neil Walker’s first major league home run was the difference as the Pittsburgh Pirates got past the Chicago Cubs 3-2.
Walker hit a two-run shot off Cubs starter Ted Lilly in the eighth to put the Bucs up for good.
Xavier Nady had given Chicago a 2-0 lead with a home run off Pirates starter Jeff Karstens in the second.
Garrett Jones drew Pittsburgh to within a run with a solo shot off Lilly in the fourth. With the loss, the Cubs have dropped three games in a row.
