(NEW YORK, NY) - Bronson Arroyo threw eight solid innings as the Cincinnati Reds beat the New York Mets 3-1.
Arroyo allowed a run on seven hits to improve to 9-4.
Angel Pagan gave the Mets the early lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the first.
Brandon Phillips tied the game with a solo shot in the third and Chris Heisey gave Cincinnati the lead for good with another solo home run in the seventh.
Phillips drove in an insurance run later in the seventh with an RBI double.
Jonathon Niese took the loss for the Mets, falling to 6-3. The Reds took two of three in the series.
