(CINCINNATI, OH) - Jay Bruce hit a two-run home run off Roy Halladay in the bottom of the eighth to give the Cincinnati Reds a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Former Reds farmhand Dane Sardinha gave the Phillies an early 3-0 lead when he slammed a three-run homer off Cincinnati starter Aaron Harang in the fourth.
Joey Votto put the Reds on the board in the sixth when he hit a solo shot off Halladay and Orlando Cabrera's RBI single in the seventh drew Cincinnati to within a run at 3-2.
Halladay allowed 13 hits and struck out ten in falling to 9-7.
