(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Indians’ losing streak is up to eight games after the Tribe was shut out in both ends of a doubleheader, falling to the Louisville Bats 6-0 in the opener and 1-0 in game two.
Chris Valaika hit a two-run homer and Yonder Alonso added a solo shot to back the pitching of Chad Reineke.
In the nightcap, Alonso's RBI single in the top of the first accounted for all of the scoring.
Ben Jukich, Aroldis Chapman and Carlos Fisher combined on the five-hit shutout as the Bats have won five games in a row.
The Indians and Bats head south to Louisville to open a two-game series tonight.
