(CLEVELAND, OH) - Rookie Josh Tomlin outdueled CC Sabathia as the Cleveland Indians knocked off the New York Yankees 4-1.
Tomlin pitched into the eighth inning, giving up a run on three hits to get the win in his major league debut.
Matt LaPorta had a pair of hits and drove in two runs to pace the Cleveland offense as the Indians halt a three-game losing streak.
Sabathia allowed four runs, two earned, in his seven innings of work to fall to 13-4.
