(DENVER, CO) - The Colorado Rockies didn’t need any late-inning heroics as Ubaldo Jiminez improved to 15-and-1 with the Rockies’ 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Jiminez allowed a run on three hits over eight innings to get the win as Colorado completed the three-game series sweep.
Jason Giambi went 4-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Rockies, who came from behind in the first two games of the series to win on walk-off home runs by Seth Smith on Tuesday night and Chris Iannetta on Wednesday night.
Chris Carpenter gave up all four Colorado runs on nine hits over six innings to take the loss, falling to 9-3.
