(CHICAGO, IL) - Brad Lincoln picked up his first major league win, combining with Joel Hanrahan and Octavio Dotel for a 2-0 shutout of the Chicago Cubs.
Lincoln allowed four hits over seven innings and got the win when the Pirates broke through for both of their runs in the top of the eighth.
Garrett Jones put Pittsburgh ahead with an RBI double and Lastings Milledge would add a bases-loaded walk to cap the scoring.
Andrew Cashner took the loss in relief for the Cubs.
Chicago starter Tom Gorzelanny threw five shutout innings and did not figure in the decision.
