(CHICAGO, IL) - Felipe Lopez scored a solo home run to lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the Chicago Cubs 4-3 in eleven innings.
The Cubs had a chance to come back but Dennys Reyes was able to strike out Kosuke Fukudome for the save.
The Cubs took a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning before Albert Pujols shot his 23rd home run of the season as he led off the sixth.
The win helped the Cardinals avoid a three game sweep against the Cubs.
