(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Quentin homered twice and drove in three runs as the Chicago White Sox pounded the Los Angeles Angels 9-2.
Alexei Ramirez and rookie Dayan Viciedo hit solo shots and drove in two runs apiece for the Sox.
It was Viciedo's first major league home run.
Gavin Floyd allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to get the win, moving to 4-7.
Scott Kazmir took the loss for the Angels, falling to 7-8.
With the win, Chicago remains a game behind first-place Detroit and a half-game behind idle Minnesota in the AL Central.
